The section above describes how our website collects and uses your information. This section adds information specific to the Faith Homoeopathy mobile app, which handles health data and is subject to additional obligations under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018, and — for patients in India — the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP Act).
 

Health data collected by the app: the app collects your date of birth, gender, appointment and consultation history, clinical notes, and prescription details, in addition to the account information described above. This is special category health data under UK GDPR Article 9, processed only with your explicit consent, given when you complete onboarding and book a consultation.
 

Legal basis for processing: We rely on your consent (Article 9(2)(a)) for health data specifically, performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) to manage your appointments, legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)) for financial and clinical record-keeping, and legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) for fraud prevention and service security.
 

Booking for someone else: If you book a consultation on behalf of a child or another person in your care through the app, you confirm you have the authority to provide their information and consent to their health data being processed for that consultation.
 

Service providers used by the app: Firebase (Google) for authentication, Stripe for payment processing, Zoom for video consultations, Google Calendar for appointment scheduling, and Microsoft 365 for transactional email. These are service providers acting on our instructions, not independent third parties who use your data for their own purposes.
 

International transfers: Faith Homoeopathy is based in the United Kingdom. If you are located outside the UK/EEA, your data is transferred to and processed in the UK in connection with your care. Some of our service providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States, and your data may be transferred to and processed there. Where this happens, we ensure appropriate legal safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, as required by UK data protection law.

How long we keep app data: We retain clinical and account records for as long as your account is active, and afterwards for a period consistent with professional record-keeping guidance for homoeopathic practitioners and our legal and insurance obligations for typically several years following your last consultation, and longer for records relating to a child patient. Exact current retention periods are available on request.
 

Right to complain: You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113) at any time. If you are a patient in India, you may also have rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 — contact us using the details below and we will assist with any such request.

Your rights, and how to exercise them: You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. In the app: Profile → Export My Data or Profile → Delete Account, for immediate self-service. No automated decision-making: We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you. All clinical decisions are made personally by Dr. Geeta Khubchandani.
